Production Procedure

Overview

The Production Procedure screen enables users to setup the process steps that happen on a brew.

Summary

The Production Procedure screen holds all the data for the step by step process that you go through during a brew, which is then displayed on the Brew Sheet. The Production Procedure is linked to the BOM for each wort item, and can be accessed directly from the BOM or from the Main Menu.

The Production Procedure functionality has been completely rebuilt in OBeer 3.0

 

 

Production Procedure can replace your paper brew sheets that have the steps in the brewing process printed on them.

Launching the Production Procedure screen

To open the Production Procedure screen you can launch it from the main menu by navigating to Production > Production Forms > Production Procedure. Then select the wort item for which you want to create/view/edit process steps.

You can also launch the screen by bringing up an existing BOM and then clicking the Production Procedure button.

Create a Production Procedure

  1. Select the Wort item
  2. Click Add Row
  3. Input a Name for the step (ex: "Start Boil")
  4. Input a Description for the step (ex: "Start Boil - Temp 105")
  5. Input Timing for the step (ex: "15")
    1. Timing is optional and isn't applicable to all steps.
    2. You can use this field to tell the brewer how long to do a step, etc.
  6. Click Add Row button to add the next step

Edit a Production Procedure

  1. Bring up and existing Production Procedure by selecting a wort a item
  2. You can Remove a row by highlighting the row and clicking "Remove Row" button
  3. You can re-order rows by highlighting the row and using the Up/Down buttons in the Move Row area.

Once you have creating a Production Procedure for the Wort item, the next time you view a production order on the Brew Sheet, the production procedure will display in the far right column of the Brew Sheet.
