System Control Pack (SCP)

Overview

System Control Packs are used to alert, limit, and control what is happening in the system to prevent issues before they cause larger problems.

Summary

OBeer 3.0 includes multiple alerts as part of the System Control Pack, all of which are designed to help catch issues before they have a larger impact on the system. The sooner the issue is found, the easier it is to fix.

New in OBeer 3.0

The SCP version 1 is new to OBeer.

The SCP is all about being proactive. Get an alert immediately when something happens, rather than seeing the issue at month end.

Details

There are five Alerts included in the SCP version 1. Below is some information on each alert that is included.

Sales Price Alert

Logic: Displays any sales documents where the price on the document is different than the price in the price list assigned to the customer.

Purpose: Alert you if a user changes a price on a sales document to something different than what is setup in the price list

Purchase Price Cost Difference Alert

Logic: Displays purchasing documents where the price on the document is more than 25% different than the item's cost.

Purpose: Alert you if a purchasing document is going to update an item cost, which could mean that the document has the wrong price and will cause production costs to be incorrect.
