Fermentation QC

Overview

Fermentation QC is the primary screen used for capturing information on the batches of beer in the fermentation process.

Summary

Fermentation QC enables you to enter QC data on a batch of beer in a fermenter over time. You can enter multiple readings (once a day or multiple times per day if desired), to keep track of the QC metrics over time.

We designed this form to have as many of the QC fields that you "might" use, and then enable Form Settings to allow you to remove those that you do not use.

What has Changed in OBeer 3.0

New Fields in the QC Data Grid

OBeer version 3.0 has additional fields on the primary Ferm QC grid to allow you to capture additional information at the row level.

    • Yeast Solids
      • Quantity type field that can be used to input the measurement of yeast solids throughout the fermentation process
    • Yeast Viability
      • Quantity type field that can be used to input the measurement of yeast viability throughout the fermentation process

Fermentation Targets

The target values for gravity and pH now display on the header. These values come from the brewing tab of the Brand Master Data (formerly known as Style Master).

Fermentation QC is accessed from the Cellar Sheet by highlighting a batch in a fermenter.

This screen makes it easy to enter in as much or as little QC data as needed.

You can enter the data all at once, or input it in real time throughout the fermentation process.
