Quick Start: Batch Number Configuration and Settings

When doing production orders, you have a couple of options on how your want the configuration of those batch number to be configured. 

Style allows you to set it by item:

1. Open the item in your Item Master Data.
2. You Additional Identifier is your prefix.
3. The batch number increments is in the User Defined Fields (CTRL + Shift +U) under Next Batch Number
   

In Location, the batch number is set based on the location associated with the warehouse.

1. That setting is in Administration->Setup->Inventory->Locations

2. You can set the Prefix and Next Batch Number there

   

You can choose which you prefer by going to:

1. Tools->User-Defined Windows->ORC_BE_SETUP - System/Co Setup
2. Then scroll over to the right until you see Batch Prefix Identifier
3. Select your desired choice there and click Update
