"Previous question was automatically answered" Message

Scenario:

You are working in OBeer, and you see this message at the bottom of your screen:

Common situations where this will happen include:

  • Adding a document with $0 document total
  • Changing a Posting Date/Due Date and copying it to all rows on the document

Solution:

The new version of the OBeer platform will allow you to save your answers to certain questions that come up while working in OBeer. After the question has been answered and the box to save the answer is checked, the system will automatically use the same answer whenever that question comes up.

There are 2 ways to clear out a saved answer:

  1.  Expand the "System Message Log" at the bottom of your OBeer window and find the "Previous question was automatically answered" row. In the "Help" column, there will be a link to Change your Answer.
  2. Navigate to Administration>Setup>General>Message Preferences

Both options will bring up the same window, which will look like this:

To change an answer, you will right click on the row number and choose "Remove". This will clear out the saved answer, and you will be asked to answer it again the next time it comes up.
